My domain provider does not support wildcards

Certain providers (e.g. Wix) don’t support wildcards which will prevent you from adding a second CNAME record, described in our white-label agency setup article.

No need to worry, we will divide the second CNAME record into multiple CNAME records which will ultimately replace the*.api value. Instead of adding *.api record, you should add the list of CNAME records as follows:

STEP 1

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – v4.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 2

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – apps.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 3

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – extensions.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 4

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – billing.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 5

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – loyalty.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 6

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – auth.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 7

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – pay.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 8

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – proxy.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.

STEP 9

• Record type: CNAME
• Name (subdomain) – deals.api.yoursite.com
• Points to / Hostname / Alias / Destination / Record Value – Point your subdomain to: whitelabel.api.shoutem.com
• TTL Value – Not all control panels have this. If you do, leave this value at its default. No need to change this.
