How do I provide a .p12 certificate through my iOS developer account?

If you've created and uploaded an app to iTunes Connect previously, this creates a unique development profile for your account. ShoutEm needs access to this development profile to be able to create and release your new app version, and this process allows us to use your signed distribution certificate to create and upload your ShoutEm-based app.

How to find your .p12 file and create your password

First, you'll need access to the Apple machine you used to request the original certificate signing.
Open up the Keychain Access application, which is typically under Applications -> Utilities (or a ⌘-Space Bar to search if necessary).

Go to the "My Certificate" section:

There, select the Distribution Certificate:

Export it using 'Export Items' from 'File' menu, or right-click to 'Export'.

You will be prompted to create a password.

Then, in the ShoutEm app builder, find Publish Info -> iPhone. Select "I have a paid iOS developer account, and I've published an app" and add this password and the exported .p12 file .

Don't have access to this file or machine?

If you do not have the access to Apple machine you used to request the original certificate signing, we can regenerate your certificate. This will not affect any live apps under this account.

As a note, you will have to download our regenerated certificates and provisioning profiles in order to use them for future app development and/or production.
